You may qualify for a groundbreaking study

AstraZeneca is studying a new way for you to get low-dose CRESTOR, a proven cholesterol-lowering medicine that may become available without a prescription.

If, after completing the eligibility questions and registration, you are eligible for the study, you will call us to confirm your participation. We will then send you an email link to complete a short online health screener that will ask questions about your health and the medicines you take. You’ll also need your cholesterol and blood pressure numbers from the last 12 months. 

After completing the screener, you may have the opportunity to purchase low-dose CRESTOR online for less than $0.12 a day ($20 for the 6-month study period). You will complete a video conference with our study staff to make sure you’re ready to start the 6-month study period. We’ll ship the medicine directly to you by mail after the video conference. If you’re not ready to start, we will refund the purchase price.

We’ll check in by phone and email periodically and at the end of 6 months, you will have a second video conference. Both video conferences take approximately 60-90 minutes and require internet access as well as a camera on your mobile phone, tablet, or computer.

30 days after your second video conference, you will be contacted by telephone for a final check-in.

You may be compensated for your time.

You can check your recent lab report (from within the last 12 months) for your total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure numbers or get them from your doctor’s patient portal. For questions on how to obtain your numbers, call our study staff at 844-330-5944.

Total study duration is about 8 months. There will be a 6-month period of taking low-dose CRESTOR. There is some time before and after that for scheduling video conferences and a telephone check-in 30 days after the second video conference to complete the study.

People interested in cholesterol or heart health. You must be:

• A man between 20-75 years of age or a woman between 50-75 years of age
• Able to read, speak, and understand English
